Hayden is such a innate sports enthusiast! Saying he loves balls is an understatement. His first word each morning and last word each evening is ball. It is the first toy he wants to play with and he searches the world over for them. For example, the red 'balls' outside of Target. He points out basketball hoops in peoples front yards and he even likes to watch golf, basketball, bowling and football on TV. If he sees a football anywhere, he says, "touchdown!"
With this passion comes some pretty good skills. He can dribble a soccer ball several times, tries (still unsuccessful) to dribble a basketball, he can throw a ball with distance and accuracy, shoots balls into baskets, hits a golf ball (he practices putting in the local golf store). This kids just LOVES to be involved in sports on any level.
So, his newest obsession is baseball! He has started to take out my vacuum wand, hand a ball to me, holds the wand like a bat and wants me to pitch. He always swings after the ball hits the ground but tries again and again. He even insisted on taking the vacuum wand into his crib for his nap. So, watch out Yankees, we have a Red Sox All Star coming up the ranks!
