Two weeks ago another letter was in Hayden's backpack from the PE teacher. It was a permission form to allow Hayden to compete in a Fitness Meet against students from another school. It stated, "it is quite an accomplishment to be selected for this event." Hayden has a competitive spirit, does everything with heart and although I am bias, I do believe he is a natural athlete. It is wonderful to have opportunities provided for him to excel and nurture these qualities. The school was nearly an hour away and took him out of the classroom all day. He was one of six first grade boys selected for this meet (there are about 270 first graders in his school). All athletes competed in six events: 50 yard, 100 yard, 220 yard, shuttle run, sit-up and pull-ups. Hayden had a great time and it was fun to watch all these kids compete who love to run!
Owen is the cutest spectator! He cheers for anybody and everybody. He claps enthusiastically and shouts in a high pitch, 'Woooaaooo!"
Look at this incredible tree near the race track!!!
Way to go Hayden!! We are proud of you!
