As cliche as it sounds, we are just dumbfounded that Hayden is actually two years old!!!! Time certainly was redefined when Hayden entered our lives and it feels like it is going by too quickly. While Hayden still doesn't really understand birthdays, he does appreciate all the fuss that is made about him. We celebrated his birthday in VA with family. I made a baseball cake and for the first time he actually got the knack for opening up presents. He would oooh and aaaah after tearing off the paper and peering at the treasure beneath.
We didn't have a party for him but did meet a couple of friends at a local park to help celebrate the day. They had fun climbing, swinging, digging in the sand and of course, eating cupcakes (Hayden helped me make the cupcakes)! It has been a special day for Hayden as well as Mommy and Daddy.
