Our family feels so complete with Owen! We feel overwhelmingly blessed to have 3 healthy boys. We've been very proud of big brothers, Hayden & Logan. Hayden has anticipated Owen's arrival with great excitement. He would often comment about how he couldn't wait to hold him, talk to him etc. and would always follow up with, "and I know how to be very gentle." Hayden often gravitates to friend's babies and smothers them peek-a-boos, tickles and attention. The first thing Hayden wants to do when he returns from school or awakes in the morning is to see 'baby Owen."
We were a bit nervous as to how Logan might react to not being the baby in the family but pleased to say he is doing very well; no problems with mommy holding or feeding Owen. He has become a bit more sensitive so we are trying to spend as much one-on-one time as possible. Logan will talk to Owen in a very high pitch, gentle voice. When Owen was crying once he tried to soothe him by assuring him mommy would be right over to help.
Overall, we are delighted and hope that the three boys will develop a bond as strong as Hayden and Logan have. Now, if only time would slow down so we could 'freeze' this precious time in our lives.
