Owen Luke Fisher

We are overjoyed to announce the arrival of Owen Luke!  True to Fisher boys, he arrived early; 36 weeks! Thankfully, he was healthy and BIG! 7 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 inches!  Contractions began at 6:45 p.m. while visiting friends 45 minutes south of us.  After about an hour, we decided to head home, thinking the contractions would most likely taper off.  I watched the clock during the drive and indeed, they were consistently 5 minutes apart and increasing in strength. 

We put the boys to bed and called the hospital who advised to drink plenty of water, put my feet up and see what happens for the next couple of hours!  After only 1 more hour, I decided we needed to go to the hospital.  A friend/neighbor came over to stay in the house with the boys. 

Labor progressed very quickly, leaving no time for an epidural, and at 11:48 p.m. we welcomed Owen!

Big brothers were excited to meet Owen the following morning!

As we settle in at home, we have MiMi & PopPop here.  We are so appreciative for their help; dishes, meals, playing with the boys, laundry, etc.  Certainly, their help is making the transition more smooth.
