While there are many times that the boys just like to chase each other around the house or that they disagree with one another, there are also many times that they play well together. On this particular day, I especially enjoyed watching their play/game evolve without any bickering and each of them offering ideas. It started wtih them using their tools on some scrap wood. Next, someone decided they should involve playdough. This led to taking out the lunch boxes, which then led to taking out empty jars which they used to create music. Next, it was decided they needed more items from the pantry to try and create different sounds.
And lastly, a grocery store game was born!
They took turns being the shopper and pushing the 'cart' to collect various food items. Meanwhile, the other would be at the check-out and 'zap' each item and collect the money to put into the 'cash register' (piggy bank)
I can forsee this game filling many cold winter afternoons.
