Snow Days!

Our school year is cushioned with some hurricane days but not snow!  With a chance of a wintry mix on the way schools were scheduled to close for two days.  As it turned out, we got freezing rain which turned into ice (the temperatures were in the teens); more than an inch build-up on cars, driveways etc.  In fact, they ended up cancelling an additional day to ensure everything was thawed.  This area is not equipped with sand/salt trucks so the whole town basically shut down.  Bridges had to close due to ice which prevented people/deliveries coming and going.  But, we made the most of it and went sledding down our front hill!!!

We decided to sled during Owen's nap.  It was all ice and I worried about him not understanding how to walk on it and getting hurt.  I know it does seem that a lot of fun takes place during nap hours...
