All of our boys have loved the crib. Despite their athleticism not one of them ever climbed out of the crib. Hayden and Logan each moved to a big boy bed out of necessity just under 2.5 years. Owen has always loved his crib and despite being nearly the same length, he would always squeeze himself width wise into the corner of the bed. But with an upcoming move we decided it would be great to transition him now (one less change all at once).
We actually decided to purchase a toddler bed (our crib didn't convert). Owen had fun helping Daddy put his new bed together. Ryan and I held our breath putting him to bed that first night fearing the initial excitement might wear off when he actually needed to sleep in it. Thankfully, he climbed right in and slept all night!
For the first time in nearly nine years we don't have a little boy sleeping in a crib...quite the end of an era!
