GO Redhawks!!!

We are only an easy 50 minute drive to Miami University, my alma mater!!! I LOVED this school and have the most fond memories of my 4 years spent on this beautiful campus! It was so much fun to be able to take the boys to a football game.

Despite MU's football reputation being far from perfect, we still have Redhawk pride!!

The opening was really neat! They had two people jump out of a small plane and parachute onto the field!

It was Saturday, September 11.

Two hours before the game family festivities began on a nearby field. They had a couple of bouncy castles and bean bag toss for the kids, bbq food and a band. This was probably the most successful part of the outing! :) The game began at 2 pm (smack in the middle of nap time) and much to our surprise and disappointment, Logan did not nap in the car on the way there.

Notice behind the Miami Field building there is an M with a Native American face. The university's original mascot was the Redskins. This was in reverence to the Miami Indian Tribe although with the pressures of political correctness, during my freshman year, the school changed the mascot to Redhawk.
