Easter!

We had a lovely Easter here in Ohio.  Strange to think that this is most likely our first and last Easter here as next March we will be moving again.
We gathered some Easter books from the library and read them throughout the week.  While we talked about the true meaning of Easter, I'd lie if I didn't say that an Easter basket of goodies, dying eggs and hunting for hidden eggs was not Hayden's top priority.

Coloring Bunnies

It takes soooo long to wait!

Can't take credit for the whisk idea--brilliant though!

Hayden anxiously anticipated Easter morning.  He asked to leave his pail outside in the hallway and to CLOSE his door.  (he ALWAYS likes to sleep with his door wide open)  As much as he was willing to accept the treats from the Easter bunny, undoubtedly, he is scared of him (that is quite a scary notion, to think a large bunny will walk in your room while you are asleep).
All smiles Easter morning and the boys enjoyed looking for the hidden eggs.
After church we prepared for two families who were coming over to share an Easter meal with us.  We decided to forgo tradition and chose bbq food instead (a brave decision since this is the 2nd wettest April on record for the Dayton area)!  There was a lull in rain storms just as Ryan needed to be on the grill.
By nightfall, we had a long, fun day!
