The boys and I drove to South Carolina to visit my parent's during Hayden's spring break. (unfortunately, Ryan's week between terms was the week prior; he visited his family in Washington) Despite cold, rainy and foggy weather, we had wonderful time and participated in activities that we normally would have avoided with nice weather. We went to two museums: Hands On in Hendersonville and The Children's Museum in Greenville. Both fun and full of entertainment and educational elements.
Another day we took the boys swimming (indoors). Logan LOVES to jump in over and over and Hayden swam an entire lap of the pool (with a life vest).
Between rain storms the boys rode their scooters, raced matchbox cars down the driveway, threw rocks in a near-by stream and simply ran!
A highlight of the trip was being in town for my Grandfather's 93rd birthday! Upon learning how many birthdays his Great Grandfather has had, Hayden responded, "Wow! That is a lot of birthdays. He sure is a growing boy!" Priceless!
MiMi and PopPop were discussed/missed the whole drive home and nearly a dozen times Hayden asked me to turn the car around to go back. Although, when we arrived home to see Daddy, hearts were filled!
