Sand & Smiles

We recently returned from a wonderful week at the Jersey shore! We met my sister and her family and my parents at Stone Harbor which has stolen all our hearts. Perhaps our favorite aspect is parking the car upon arrival and not needing it again until we leave. Everything is within walking or bike riding distance. Our mornings began with fresh baked donuts from the bakery in town which still perfumes the air with the same fresh baked cinn. bun mixed with brewing coffee, that I remember from when I was a little girl and would ride my bike with my dad each morning. The cousins adored one another, Hayden loved playing in the ocean and driving his truck in the sand and Ryan and I snagged a few moments to ourselves into town or out for lunch.
We did take an evening to drive to the Wildwood boardwalk (about 20 minutes away)and got our money's worth from an 'all you can ride' wrist ban for Hayden. He probably rode one ride in particular at least 15 times! He is a thrill seeker. Perhaps the funniest moment was on the bumper cars. Hayden had trouble multi-tasking: pressing the gas pedal AND steering the wheel. So, while he had the pedal to the medal he kept the steering wheel locked in a turning position so he kept spinning around in tight circles...very, very funny!
