My dear friend Emily (college roommate all 4 years) lives only 40 minutes away from us in Ohio. It has been wonderful to see each other on a much more frequent basis. The special part is, she's pregnant with twins; a boy and a girl! Since Hayden was a baby, she came to visit my home in NJ at least half a dozen times; spending her teacher spring break week/and part of her summer, loving on my boys who affectionately call her Aunt Emily! It brought me so much joy to host a baby shower for her at my home. It was a small, intimate luncheon. Our wonderful, mutual college friend Jess (who also lives only 40 minutes away and it has been so special to watch our children become great friends--in fact, Hayden told me once after visiting, that he was going to marry Jess' daughter when he's big!) helped prepare the meal and with set-up and clean-up. It was a special and memorable day!
