Yesterday was our second activity at our local community center. They hosted a Think Spring Greene Festival for children 12 and under. There were multiple tables set up with activities, arts & crafts and some educational elements. Hayden is a great age for such a place but Logan doesn't quite have the attention span yet. He became good buddies with the gentleman at the bumblebee bean bag toss as that quickly became his favorite, and well frequented, location!
While there, we took flyers on many upcoming activities. Our calendar is FULL! I am so excited about all that is offered here in our local community. Just to name a few, Art In The Park (arts & crafts for kids held in the gazebo at our town park), Music In The Park (blankets and lawn chairs on a warm summer night--can't wait!), Finding Fossils at a local creek (Hayden will LOVE this since he is obsessed with dinosaurs, although perhaps disappointed when he doesn't find a dinosaur fossil), Star Gazing, Bug Finding (might have to send daddy to this event, a naturalist will take the kids on a hike, armed with plastic containers, to look for everything from snakes to bugs), and the list goes on! What a fun spring and summer we will have!
