On the morning of the 4th, we went with friends to watch a parade in a near-by town. The street was lined with chairs and in some places, several rows deep. The weather was cloudy and threatened rain but thankfully, only drizzled here and there. The parade was impressive with motorcycles, fire trucks, floats, bands, dancers, boy scouts, fancy cars and a HUGE monster truck! Afterwards, there was a street fair with food and craft vendors.

After a pit stop home to nap, we went to our friend's house for a bbq. They are actually our British friends who are stationed here (only for 3 more weeks :( with the Royal A.F. We all laughed at the irony!
