Shoebox

We picked up an empty shoebox at church last week.  We explained to the boys that we are to fill it with toys/gifts and it will be mailed/delivered to a child in need.  We quickly got to work brainstorming some items and Hayden made a list for the store.

Ryan took the big boys while I stayed home with Owen.  They were gone quite a while but had fun finding treasures to fit inside.  Ultimately, the box was filled with:

3 washcloths
2 hand sanitizers
1 kid toothpaste
1 kid toothbrush
1 bar of soap
1 deck of cards
1 Transformers plastic cup
1 mini etch-o-sketch
1 book of stickers
1 blank notebook
1 box of crayons
2 matchbox cars
1 slinky

It is amazing how much you can fit into a small shoebox.  Granted, it had to be taped shut, but still.

I think of how fortunate we are and pray for the little boy who receives our box that he may have a blessed life.
