Ryan Photos

I thought I would share a few pictures of Ryan from the last couple of months.  He is doing well and is settled into a routine.  He spent the first 5 weeks at one location and then moved to another.  It was a good move for many reasons.  He works 12 - 18 hour days, 7 days a week except a late report on Sunday mornings.  He is on call all night and sometimes has to take care of stuff then too. But, staying busy helps the time pass. He has witnessed some sincere heartfelt appreciation from Afghan counterparts.  Ryan has seen people he knows from previous assignments/trainings which is always fun.  With his spare time he goes to the gym and watches movies.

Here is Ryan at his new office showing off the pictures the boys colored and sent to him.  For the last 7 years Ryan has worked in only offices without a single window (stateside).  Ironic that now he works by a window in Afghanistan.

At his first location they were in need of some volunteer fire fighters (this was an additional duty and didn't replace his job).  Here he is with his 'crew.'  He is sitting on the top in the middle. (apparently one troop takes the potato head stuffed animal whenever he deploys and takes pictures of him in different locations...can't remember if it is his child's or not)

He is holding the red umbrella looking thing.
