My friend recently had a birthday party for her son--a nurf gun theme. I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive; twenty little boys armed with nurf guns. I pictured a free-for-all yet it was anything but! When the boys arrived they were given an orange target sticker to put somewhere on their shirt. Then, a red or yellow arm band to indicate which team. Hayden and Logan asked to be on the same team. Boxes were set up in the backyard for hide-outs. Each team had a post and a leader/dad. (remember, Hurlburt is a special ops assignment and all our friends are military--they had strategy). It was essentially a capture the flag game. The object was to cross to the other side, grab the flag and return to your base without getting hit. If you got hit you had to stand against the wall. Each game was only about 45 seconds so nobody sat out for long. Protective eyeglasses were handed out as well. Everybody was a good sport and played fairly. They had a blast!!!
Logan is reloading in the hide-out. At one point the mother of the birthday boy was about to shoot Hayden who was running with her team's flag when she felt a nurf bullet hit her back; when she turned around she saw Logan standing there. Band of brothers.
Owen never shot a bullet but LOVED running from one side to the other.
