4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! PopPop was in town which added to the festivities. We started the day at the beach. When we returned it was time to dress in our red, white and blue!
This is our third 4th of July here in Florida. Per tradition we did our own firework show in the cul-di-sac. To appease the boys' excitement we started before a bbq dinner. Running through colored smoke balls was first on the boys' list.
Poppers were next!
Then, after dinner and baths, we returned at dusk for the show complete with traditional 4th of July band music!
It was simple. No crowds. No traffic. Only a few small fountain sparkles punctuating the dark.
It was intimate. Our little family and PopPop. Celebrating our nation.
Logan exclaimed, "that was the best firework ever!"
We are grateful for our freedom!
