We are becoming close with two other families in the area. The other two women and myself try to get together once a week (although, usually every other week) for coffee and a play date. Between the three families there are eight children, seven between the ages of 1 and 4 years. Although we have had them for dinner before, I decided to keep it simple and just host an appetizer and dessert evening. Drinks were readily available with a help yourself 'bar'. Since Ryan wasn't over a hot grill and I wasn't managing the oven to put dinner on the table we could both really relax and enjoy our friends.
Ryan clipped some branches and the boys offered to help drag them to the curb. They had fun 'showing off' how they could lift them.
